What makes your pretzel so good

A traditional Bavarian recipe, slow fermentation and the highest quality ingredients are the foundations of a Milwaukee Pretzel Co. pretzel. A crisp salty exterior with a pillowy inside for the perfect pretzel bites.

Wheat Flour

The workhorse. Gives the pretzel a nice dose of protein.

Rye Flour

High in nutrients and adds a rich, earthy flavor to the pretzel.

Water

A foundational ingredient. Water is responsible for triggering the baking process!

Butter

Who doesn't love butter? Butter gives the pretzel a richer flavor compared to oil.

Salt

More than just flavor! Salt is a key ingredient that increases crust color, controls yeast fermentation and strengthens the

11 Years in the Making


While living in Germany for a year one of our favorite things to do was sit in Munich's beautiful beer gardens under chestnut trees and string lights while enjoying a soft pretzel. Those moments brought us such peace and happiness. When we returned to Milwaukee in 2013, we set out to recreate those amazing pretzels and bring them to our friends and family - and Milwaukee Pretzel Company was born!
